I read somewhere (and I could be wrong)Audrey ever really sang onscreen very few times, and never a complete song. There is a rumor that Mancini re-wrote key for Audrey to sing part of Moon River in the movie based on her singing in this movie. Again, it's the rumor despite the well known fact that in My Fair Lady she was completely dubbed. Another actress who was thought to believe to sing throughout her films is Rita Hayward, but she never sang a note since she was more of an actress/dancer.

im sure this is her voice, theres no reason it wouldnt be really. Theres an orginal version of her singing "wouldnt it be lovely" on the my fair lady dvd, she had a great voice, although probably not brassy enough for musicals. Mind you my opinion doesnt count because i would think she sounded wonderful if she wailed like a stabbed cat.

:\ moon river was never re-written. it was composed in the first place, to fit her voice

you're crazy? if you can't recognize Audrey's voice please don't speak(or write in your case)nonsense.
Audrey's voice is beautiful and sweet(just like her) and i love the song.

Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful woman and a wonderful actress. But I hate to burst your bubble: It's a well-known fact she didn't have much of a singing voice. Most of the songs she "sang" in the movies were lip synched - and in the case of this scene, not synched too well, I'd say!

"I hate to burst your bubble," but your "well-known fact" is incorrect. In this scene of "Sabrina," Audrey Hepburn is singing, not lip synching. it's true that Audrey's voice in "My Fair Lady" was dubbed by Marni Nixon. Audrey wasn't lip synching though because she was fully unaware that her voice would be dubbed over.

Then I stand corrected, both in assuming she was in fact lip-syncing in this scene, and that there was dubbing that took place in My Fair Lady and not actual lip-syncing (although I never mentioned that film by name.) I'll even go so far as to amend my earlier comment to say that it's widely known she didn't have a GREAT singing voice. This is no knock on Ms. Hepburn, clearly one of the great talents in cinema of hers - or any - generation.
